COVID-19 RECOMMENDATIONS BY DR.MANAL ADI, SPECIALIST PEDIATRICIAN

As a community clinic, we want you to know that we are here with you and for you as we go through this unpredictable time.
As WHO recently declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, we want to make sure that you remain safe and well informed.
Here is what you can do to protect yourself and your community from this infection presented by Dr. Manal Adi, Specialist Pediatrician at Medicentres Pliclinic:
  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. Hand hygiene is found to be the single most effective factor in preventing infection.
  2. Avoid touching your face and teach your kids to do the same.
  3. Be away from sick people and stay at home if you are ill.
  4. Cough and sneeze into a tissue and throw it away immediately. Otherwise cough into your elbow and wash your hands immediately.
  5. Practice social distancing, which means staying at home as much as possible and avoiding public places where close contact with others is likely.
  6. Avoid physical forms of greeting others, such as kissing, hugging, handshake, and hi-fives.
  7. Clean and disinfect your home regularly.
  8. Wash stuffed animals and toys in the warmest water possible and dry them completely.
  9. Stay well informed. Make sure you learn about the virus from proper sources, like the WHO, CDC, or DHA.
Even though you may feel you are not risk for catching the virus, please know that there are vulnerable people around you who may suffer serious complications and would need you to step up.
We will get through this, if we are all in it together.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.

Stay Safe. Stay Home.
